The last training session at Brookes will be on Wednesday 24th March. After that, it will be back to Margaret road at the usual time of 6.30pm.

Cholsey match is cancelled due to the weather. They have about 1 1/2 inches of snow on the pitch and the ground is frozen.

The League Cup 3rd round draw has been made and has given us a interesting tie at home against AFC Newbury. They are new to the A league and are currently sitting mid table. I don't know anything about them but will be consulting our chief scout (Glen !!) before January :-) Our home advantage gives us every chance of progressing.

Due to work commitments (I'm in South Africa !) I will be unable to run the training session on Wednesday 28th October. training will resume as normal the following week - Wednesday 5th November.

Chinnor Youth beath Carterton 9-0 so we can confirm our opponents for our 2nd round tie in the County Cup on the 18th October.

Kevin Wilkes has confirmed that Abingdon Colts Panthers have withdrawn from the league, so we will not have a game this Sunday.

Wheatley have withdrawn from the league so our 1st match on 6th Sept has been cancelled. Our 2nd match may also be cancelled if Abingdon Colts Panthers have also withdrawn (still awaiting confirmation).

The leagues are now confirmed and the fixtures are out. We are in the B League, along with:

Didcot Casuals
Abingdon colts did plan to have 2 teams (Lions and Panthers) but I think they now only have one, so some fixtures will be cancelled.
For those looking forward to our local derby matches with Oxford City, I'm sorry to disappoint you by confirming that they have been put in the C league.
I will update the fixtures page properly asap, but our first few games are:
Sept 6th - Wheatley (Away) - 10.30
Sept 13th - Abingdon Colts Panthers (Home) - Note 2pm KO if this is not the team that folded. (If it is, I will try and arrange a friendly).
Sept 20th - Rotherfield (Away) - TBC

We now have confirmation of our pre season friendly against Horspath.
The match will be played at Cutteslowe Park on Wednesday 2nd September. Please arrive by 6pm - kick off will start as soon as everyone is there.

The fixtures for Cumnor Minors have been reversed, so we now play them at home first on November 16th and then away on February 8th 2009. I've updated the fixtures page to show these changes.

Please note that whilst training for the season will be as normal (Wednesdays 6:30-7:30), kick-off times for our home games have moved from 10:30 to 11:00. This is to allow the other age groups a chance to use the changing rooms if they also have a home game. Players should arrive 45 minutes before the kick-off time to allow for warm up and team selection etc.

The fixture against Rotherfield on the 30th November has been confirmed as a 14:30 kick-off. Directions have now been added to the fixtures page.

Our first newsletter has been produced - Please use the forum to feedback any comments (good or bad !) or to make suggestions on ways to improve it. We are also looking for volunteers to write articles. Issue 2 planned for mid October.

Our home game against St Edmunds on 7th December has been postponed until March 15th due to St Ed's still being in the B&B cup. The Radley Youth game planned for January 25th has also been re-arranged for March 29th.

Traing at Brookes finishes this week. As of Wednesday April 1st, training is back at Margaret Road from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.
